Back In Business

Tree_2 Yes, the London Mayoral campaign ate my life. Though I kept this blog ticking over throughout most of it, the final few weeks left no time for anything else: that's why my only recent posts here have been about Ken Livingstone and his visits to Hackney. Otherwise, all my efforts have been concentrated here and, for the Guardian, here and here. But now it's all over, and time to restore a little balance into my blogging life. Unwinding from the intensity of the mayoral race has taken a while. It helped that this morning is fresh and sunny and that new leaves are now appearing on the tree at the bottom of my garden. Not exactly the epitome of arboreal beauty, is it? That's why I like it.

Dave, while you were away on the campaign trail, you missed the removal of the last 2 concrete lampposts in the area. Another sign of regeneration, but I miss them.
