not so fast! The large campaign at the Swan are very organised and very determined that the Swan will NOT close. We are getting our message out and getting more and more support by the day. For updates check savetheswan.com

I moved out of Hackney 25 years ago and live in Los Angeles,I grew up nextdoor to the Swan and have many memorys of good times at the Swan.We used to do "penny for the guy"outside and buy some winkles or cockles from the fish stool or my first pint at 14yrs old dressed up in my platforms and flares!!
I will miss walking around the corner to the swan and seeing a few old faces i know on my visits home-the Swan was like a little island in the changing hackney i knew.
Its awful to say its our own fault,we are so polite and want to help everyone-now we got screwed its too late.
God save the Queen--pdee
