Transition Team Details
Following requests made at last week's press conference, some details about Mayor Johnson's "transition team" of fifteen interim advisers are now on the GLA website. I'm told these will be augmented later today with figures showing what these advisers have been paid. This will be welcome, though it would be good to know a little more about what their jobs entail. Here's hoping.
UPDATE: As Rob comments below we now have some figures added to the previous details. As Helen comments it's not exactly clear what period these refer to, but perhaps there will be more precision in future. A little more on this after I've fetched the kids from school...
These details have already been up on the website for some time. It's good news about the salaries, but they won't tell us much if we don't know what they are actually doing/have done for that money. 'Advisor to the mayor' tells us the sum total of diddly squat.

Has anything new actually appeared on that page, then? I see most of them still simply say 'Advisor to the Mayor' - is that really more detail than before?

Looks like the amouont they have been paid has now been added to the details on that page, Dave. They do seem rather more modest then I think we might have been expecting.

The payments to date have now appeared, although I note that an asterisk has now appeared next to each sum with a note saying "To early June 2008" at the bottom of the page. I was thinking "Huh? That must be to date, surely?" so maybe he has psychics working for him, too.
