Welcome back! Always a pleasure to read your musings,here or at Comment is Free: never bitter,always interesting, inclusive and never full of blind bigoted ,certainties like so many bloggers whom I read once and never again.
Good to point out the absence of free ATMs in Hackney...Clapton especially. By definition, the only one in E5 must be No 1 Clapton Common, a fair hike from the Pond,worse from Clapton Park.(Mare St is a little nearer!)

Thanks Felix. I drove past the former NatWest (was it?) in Upper Clapton Road the other day. Saw that it's become a betting shop, naturally.

There's another one in Upper Clapton outside the Esso garage. It's at the front of the huge queue of people [thus proving your point]. As a back-up, the garage also does cashback.
