News to me I've read as far back as last year that the media centre has been bought by Sainsburys as a supermarket depot after the games

... and I thought Carillion / Igloo were going to own the building as well as build it - so they'll be looking to maximise their rents.

Local ownership and control - via a Community Trust - would ensure a legacy for people in the five "host" boroughs, but that's not on the agenda. Even less so if the economy goes into recession.
