In a statement he said:
"In a mere two months in office Boris Johnson has already suffered the second resignation from among his most senior officials - Deputy Mayor Ray Lewis following Deputy Chief of Staff James McGrath two weeks ago. In my entire eight years in office I suffered only one enforced resignation of any of my most senior officials, Lee Jasper - and that only after seven years - and this extreme contrast shows vividly the incompetence of Boris Johnson and his administration. It is an equal crisis for David Cameron who, it should be remembered, chose to make his first photo opportunity as Tory leader with Ray Lewis."
Miaow.
Ken is such a confusing character. On LBC today, and on Newsnight last night, he was saying what an inspired choice Ray Lewis was, how he backed Boris for not suspending him and how he wished he had found Ray Lewis first. But then he writes his press releases and amiable, likeable Ken goes out the window.

And he calls Ian Clement a bovver boy. It has to be said that the main thrust of his statement is squarely aimed at his old enemies the Tories, however, and he's never been shy of causing collateral damage while putting the boot into those gentlemen.

Yes, but Ken isn't attacking Ray Lewis here, he's attacking Boris again. There's a difference.
