I don't know where or when this was taken, don't know what fabric the robe is made of or anything. Maybe what makes it elegant is the bearing of the man wearing it. The image brought the word elegant to mind - to my mind, anyway - because the shape Ali is making and the possibility that he's leaning a little against the ropes imply casualness, even repose. But that's ridiculous, of course. It's almost certain that he's just entered the ring to fight and repose would be the last thing on his mind. Still, some will argue that Ali's ability to be elegant even in moments of unbearable tension was part of what made him so exceptional. Whatever, it's a cool picture of The Greatest who is sixty-five years old today.
Fabulous.

Does he have Parkinson's or something? Or did he ahve something and got over it? I'm a bit hazy on his recent history.

Hello James. Yes, he has Parkinson's but seems to be coping reasonably well.
